CUT offers full-time BSc and MSc studies in English. If you choose this option you can benefit from a unique educational offer that will help you develop a wide range of useful and transferable skills.

Currently in our educational offer on the first-cycle degree level (Bachelor level) there are 5 fields of study held in English ( 7 semesters ):

  • BSc in Biotechnology for Environmental Protection
  • BSc in Business and Technology
  • BSc in Intelligent Energy
  • BSc in Computer Modelling and Simulation
  • BSc in Management and Production Engineering

On the second -cycle degree level (Masters level) there are 4 fields of study held in English( 4 or 3 semesters )

  • MSc in Management
  • MSc in Management and Production Engineering
  • MSc in Computational Intelligence and Data Mining
  • MSc in Modelling and Simulation in Mechanics
  • MSc in Logistics

All lectures, classes and projects are conducted entirely in English.

The main objective of studies in English is to educate future engineers who, while gaining in-depth professional knowledge of their fields of study, will also develop excellent linguistic competence in ESP and Business English.

The studies are run by the following faculties:

  • Faculty of Infrastructure and Environment,
  • Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science,
  • Faculty of Management.

The teaching staff of the courses in English consists of the academics who have experience in the area of international cooperation as well as lecturers invited from partner universities. Here are some of them:

  • prof. Ralph Lescroart (Institute Blaise Pascal, Haute Ecole Blaise Pascal Virton, Belgium)

  • prof. Philippe Blanc-Benon (Ecole Centrale de Lyon, France)

The University collaborates with many EU higher education institutions and students are given the opportunity to study for one semester at any of the selected foreign academic centres (it is so-called mobility semester, i.e. a semester of studying in one of European universities financed by the LLP-Erasmus programme).

The studies take place in a two-level system – I degree and II degree studies (Bachelor level and Master level studies).

Description of CUT courses held in English:

BSc in Biotechnology for Environmental Protection

Course is organized mainly by the Faculty of Infrastructure and Environment. Graduates receive knowledge about biology, ecology, earth science, hydrology and environmental protection. Students are prepared to apply new achievement of biotechnology in environmental protection. Students obtain a comprehensive training in the state-of-the-art techniques and methodologies used in biotechnology, students are trained to think independently and solve problems, students are prepared for further postgraduate studies.
It aims to provide students with an opportunity to study the latest developments in biotechnology in the field of environmental protection as well as to equip them with practical skills in this area.

BSc in Business and Technology

Course organized by Management Faculty, aimed to educate MSc and BSc graduates for challenges to management, innovation and technology in global world. Study program combine knowledge and skills of management and techniques and technology. BT graduates receive knowledge about theory and practice of management including managerial functions, planning process, strategy building, organizational structure concepts. Human resource management, leadership behaviour, entrepreneuring, creativity and innovations are important questions in programme study also.
Graduates are prepared to manage business and innovative process in organization and organization's development by innovations and technology.
This course is designed to create specialists who are able to combine technical and economic knowledge, and who respond creatively to new challenges of the European and world business. They will be able to acquire knowledge and advanced skills that will help them enjoy a successful career in foreign companies.

BSc in Intelligent Energy

Course organized by the Faculty of Infrastructure and Environment, aimed to provide comprehensive education for MSc and BSc students in order to prepare them for professional activities at industrial companies, R&D institutions, and consulting companies. The graduates will be given comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge on world power industry and modern energy conversion technologies. Particular attention will be put to environment protection.

BSc in Computer Modelling and Simulation

This course is organised by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science within the framework of 'ordered fields of study' programme. The aim of the course is to provide specialists in the computer modelling of systems and technological processes who will be able to meet the requirements of research and development centres.

BSc in Management and Production Engineering

A graduate obtains knowledge in the areas of production engineering, economics, management of transport and science of commodities. At the same time the graduate has the management skills necessary to manage a small to medium-sized manufacturing/service company and to solve basic problem in term of production engineering, economics, management of transport and science of commodities, including: designing in technical engineering, supervision of production processes and production system, supervision of production devices, selection and training of staff, management of costs in the industry, management of transport, commodities, marketing, logistics, innovations, technology transfer and quality control.
The graduate can be employed in small, medium and large-size manufacturing/service companies, designing and consulting units, transport and commodities companies, institutions where technical, production, economic, computer knowledge and management skills are needed.

MSc in Management

A graduate of management has the skills necessary to manage a small to medium-sized manufacturing/service company as well as units of government administration and local government. At the same time the students obtain knowledge in the areas of economics, accounting and finance, marketing and Public Relations, which allows them to independently assess the financial position of a company and to take care of its further development, while shaping the company's external image in cooperation with the media.
Graduates are employed in positions of operational, analytical, middle and senior management in manufacturing and service companies, business units and local government, agencies, consulting and non-profit institutions, and in the areas of banking. They also gain vocational training to run their own business. Masters courses are also open to graduates from other fields of economic sciences and those outside them. Graduates are prepared to undertake research work.

MSc in Management and Production Engineering

A graduate obtains knowledge in the areas of production engineering, economics, management of transport and science of commodities. MSc in Computational Intelligence and Data Mining

On successful completion of their studies at the Department of Computer Science, graduates will be well prepared to independently solve engineering and research problems relating to hardware and software, including classifying those problems with regard to their complexity, specification and solution implementation
Graduates will be able to prepare, implement and verify IT projects as well as quickly adapt to the dynamic developments in information technologies.
They will demonstrate knowledge of computer networks, multimedia techniques and artificial intelligence. They will be acquainted with microcomputer and microprocessor systems as well as computer applications in economics, management and organization.
Graduates will gain skills and experience that will prepare them for careers as: researchers, designers and creators of software, administrators of complex information systems and computer networks, or specialists in information systems security.
Graduates of first-cycle studies (Bachelor of Science) who subsequently continue the second-cycle (Master of Science) degree programme will possess the necessary foundations to pursue four-year postgraduate studies. After completing their doctoral thesis, they will be conferred the title of Doctor of Technology in the field of Computer Science.

MSc in Modelling and Simulation in Mechanics

Graduates of the Modelling and Simulation in Mechanics field of study will acquire thorough preparation in the area of mechanics, machine construction, the design, manufacture and operation of machines and production systems. Specializations in automotive engineering as well as thermal and automotive engineering will provide graduates with the basics in the construction of power machines and devices as well as motor vehicles; metrology in thermal engineering; diagnostics, durability, reliability, and design of power engineering systems and thermal power stations, including the issues of energy efficiency and machine dynamics.
Construction and technology-related specializations will cover the subjects of modern technological methods and preparation for constructing and designing machines, devices and equipment with the use of computer techniques.
Graduates will be prepared to work in research institutions, design and construction, and technology institutes, as well as to manage and develop the production in machine industries and related enterprises.
Graduates of first-cycle studies (Bachelor of Science) who subsequently continue the second-cycle (Master of Science) degree programme will possess the necessary foundations to pursue four-year postgraduate studies. After completing their doctoral thesis, they will be conferred the title of Doctor of Technology in the field of mechanics or machine construction and operation.

MSc in Logistics

Graduates possess general knowledge and skills necessary for operational logistics management within the functional departments of operators . They know the essence of modern management organizations and policies for logistics operators . They understand the importance of system and procedural approaches in logistics, information flow control rules , financial , human and material resources , as well as the essence of logistics customer service.

On the field Logistics students will gain knowledge among of basic components of logistics processes and systems and process control shaping the physical flow of goods along with related information. In practice, this will allow future graduates, in thinking categories: system, customer service, effectiveness, total costs and oriented value and benefit.

The aim of education majoring in logistics is an indication of the integrity of technical problems in management and economics.
